1. Explain why you selected each of the TWO videos you choose from the selection listed above.
For my selection i made a random choice and decided to pick Uncertainty: modernity and art and also Andy Warhol: Images of an image.
2. For each video list/discuss the key concepts you learned.
Uncertainty:
- Every piece of art can be look at and portrayed differently to people.
- Art shows reality
- Modern art never stops changing
- It tests how society changes continuously
Andy Warhol:
- He never wanted to be a artist, he always wanted to be a dancer (tap)
- Published his own magazines
- He used death as a theme many times
- He died in 1986
- Started out in advertisement work.
- Marilyn Monroe face made him famous
2. How do the videos relate to the readings in the text?
The videos explain the text more in depth. it showed how many ideas of art changed throughout the years and also has changed peoples perspective.
3. What is your opinion of the films? How do they add depth to understanding of the readings and art concepts?
I think the films where quite good. I more liked the Andy Warhol video better because it was more interesting to me
